Somontano DO

Somontano, which means "under the mountains", is situated in the centre of the Province of Huesca in Aragon. It lies, almost in isolation, in the well-sheltered area between the Pyrenees and the Ebro River. The chalky soil and mild continental climate provide great conditions for the grapes to ripen and produce excellent wines.
