The Vin de Pays du Val de Montferrand covers a wide area of pre-cévenole garrigue edging the Montagne de Séranne, in north of Hérault department. This soil produces mainly red and rose wine, but the production of white wine is growing quite fast nowadays. The Domaine de Perret is situated on the town of Assas on a limestone and clayey hillside between 300 and 600 feet, facing south-west.
