About 40 to 50 percent of the wine produced in France fall under the table wine category. "Vin de Table" is the every day wine of France. There are few restrictions and rules are set by the European Union. The label do not have to mention the area of origin. Typically a wine table is a mix of several grapes. Wines using grapes grown in France are called "Vin de table français".
The area of production of Mommessin's Vin de Table « Cuvée Saint Pierre » spread over the Luberon, in the South of France. The vineyard of this region is very old and is dating back to the Antiquity. It extends on the southern and northern slopes of the Luberon hill. It belongs to the southern part of the Côtes du Rhône.
